Daily Flooded Muara Angke Dock

Dock? I imagine that dock is fulled with boats, ships, yachts, fishermen, great sea, birds, and blue sky. I couldn't find those well here, Muara Angke dock which is located in North Jakarta. Shocked, I am!

The bridge dock is daily flooded by dark sea water. I could see and touch sum wastes on feet. People always walk on foot (no sandals) bcoz it's slippery bridge.

There's no vehicle parked by the dock. Sea water will flood the doc up to 30-50 cm.

"Sudah biasa terendam air, apalagi kalau lagi air pasang. Makanya ada tembok pembatas di dekat warung dan rumah kami," kata seorang pemilik warung makan di tepi dok.

Not only waste or garbage, there are many dog poos at the dock. There are about 10 dogs live with no one belong to. The dogs eat any kind thing they can find there.

For daily activity, people get clean water from PAM. They distribute it through a small pipe. They also take this clean water for sailing on boat, but not for cleaning the boat.

How about the weather? Well, don't ask!. A big hat never enough to protect my head. 

It's windy there, but it's too hot that i never predicted before.
